[Later in the evening, whether answering a knock on her door (to find no one there) or returning home from wherever she may be, Maribelle is going to find a garment box wrapped in festive paper with a bow on it and an envelope taped to the top. The envelope reads "To Maribelle. Do not open until Christmas!" If she opens it now or later, this is what she'll find:
In the envelope is a card! It's a fairly generic happy holidays card, though the outside and inside have stickers added. One such sticker, specifically, accompanies the following note. It's a cute looking kitten sticking it's paw out, and it reads "I A-Paw-logize". On the inside of the card are some cute little doodles of cats or snowmen or reindeer and a note:
Merry Christmas Maribelle! I think we kind of got off on the wrong foot at the party? So I wanted to say I'm sorry and make it up to you! Not with the Christmas gift, because this is for Christmas, but when you have some free time maybe we can go get dinner or something together! I promise I'll leave Waddles at home! But anyway, I hope you're having a very good Christmas and if not, maybe that this can help a bit!

In the thin garment box is...a stocking? Yes! It's a stocking! It's red with gold trimming and glitter covering it, as well as Maribelle's name carefully penned in with what looks like glitter fabric paint. Inside this stocking is what you would expect in any stocking. From the toe to the top, it's filled with candy and a variety of smaller items, such as: There's a small white rabbit plush inside, as well as a delicate looking bracelet made of braided white yarn with light pink pony beads decorating it. Along with this is a smaller card, though it's just a simple butterfly pattern on the front and on the inside it says "I.O.U one sweater! If you could tell me your measurements and favorite colors, I'll make it right away!"
Lining the top are five candy canes, neatly hooked over the edge so they are just peeking out!]
